About the Mind/Body Medical Institute archive

What this archive is, how it was made, and what it is not.

What this is

For most of the 2000s, mbmi.org was the website of the Mind/Body Medical Institute, founded by cardiologist Herbert Benson, MD. The institute later became the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, and the old site went offline. This archive records what that site contained, so the links that still point here lead somewhere useful.

How it was made

Every archived page comes from snapshots in the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine taken between 2001 and 2010. We followed the institute's own 2010 site map to rebuild its sections in their original order.

Each archived page has a new summary of what the original said, a few short quotations, and the original address and capture dates, with a link to the full capture.

What this archive is not

It is not the Mind/Body Medical Institute or the Benson-Henry Institute and does not speak for them. It offers no programs, appointments, products or medical advice. Prices, schedules and contact details in archived pages are historical, and personal contact details are left out.
