## What this page said

The page said the programs at the Health and Wellness Center were based on published research on the relaxation response and were meant to complement the conventional treatment a patient was already receiving. It listed six: Cardiac Wellness for hypertension, lipid disorders, diabetes, arrhythmias and heart disease; a Symptom Reduction program for pain, insomnia, asthma, allergies, gastrointestinal and autoimmune disorders, anxiety and depression; a Health and Fertility program; a Perimenopause and Menopause program; a Cancer program; and a Chronic Pain Service for chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia and other pain.

Each multi-week program met in two- to three-hour sessions that blended lecture, hands-on experience and group support under a clinician.
